The Virtue and Vice Coalition,VnV for short, is a role-playing guild that houses both a hero league and a villain legion for the game DC Universe Online.  The guild was named after the server both leagues were created on: Virtue & Vice.  VnV is dedicated in bringing players together to enjoy the game with one other, may it be through leveling, raids, or role-play.  VnV members also have the opportunity in participating in RP events as we have our very own custom channel that will allow us to cross-faction chat with one another.  This also allows us to keep in contact with one another when some people may be playing on hero side while some are on villain side.  VnV is strongly dedicated in creating a community aspect for our guild so we may become a close-knit group that will game together while playing DC Universe Online.

Our Promise:

We promise to keep both leagues as RP-medium to RP-heavy groups.  Afterall, we ARE a role-playing guild and this is our first promise to make for our members.  We want people to feel comfortable with role-playing with how they want and we will try our best to keep the group from being 'elite.'  From new role-players to vetern role-players, we accept all sorts of players looking to get their hands on a group that is dedicated to roleplaying.  Neither league has a specific theme, other than heroes are heroes and villains are villains. 

We promise to show our members with the upmost respect and also expect for each member to give the same respect to everyone else.  This mainly applies to the out-of-character aspect of things as role-play can be treated in a variety of ways.  We value our members and wish for each of them to get along quite well with one another on the OOC level as well as in-character.

Who we are looking for:

We are looking for people that are of course, interested in role-play.  However, we are also looking for original characters that may join our ranks.  Sadly, we do not want to see Spiderman clones and people trying to role-play as other established characters in the guild.  Those will be denied access into the leagues if they are trying to role-play as established characters.  However!  Homages and characters that try to emulate the bigger names in the DC Universe (I.E. your character was inspired by Superman so they want to try to be like him) are perfectly fine.  Characters claiming to be family members to established DC Universe characters may however, be frowned upon.

Player vs. Player or Player vs. Environment:

Why choose?  People will enjoy either one and we here at the VnV Coalition will enjoy participating in both the game's content and PvP with you.  There are several members who enjoy participating in Player vs. Player gameplay, so do not worry about not finding people to PvP with!

The Frontliners:

The Frontliners is the guild's hero league.  They are dedicated in keeping the peace and being the first into action when duty calls.  The team has a variety of heroes of different shapes and sizes, of different origins, and of course, different skill sets.  The Frontliners utilize their individual skill sets to work together to protect the innocent from a dasterdly group that became their rivals: the Sinister Syndicate.  Although each member of the Frontliners has different reasons for joining, they all know what their duty is when it comes to heroism. 

Sinister Syndicate:

The Sinister Syndicate is the guild's villain league.  The Syndicate for short, are dedicated in causing havoc and using their numbers to help shape the world into their image.   The organization looks far and wide to hire many to increase their numbers so they may remain an unstoppable force to wreckon with.  From petty criminals to immensily powered supervillains, the Syndicate has a place for anyone looking for profit...or for those simply looking for a group to run with to cause chaos with.

Leadership:

Both The Frontliners and the Sinister Syndicate try to emulate the "Big Three" when it comes to leadership.  Each group has a Tech, Meta, and Magic specialist that watch over the rest of each group's members.  Following the "Big Three" there are the officers and specialty officers such as PvP Coordinators and PvE Coordinators.

Recruitment:

As of now we no longer require people to file out an application to join one of the leagues that are part of the Virtue and Vice Coalition.  Members of The Frontliners or the Sinister Syndicate may send invites to those seeking a group.  However, should someone request it, officers of either group may be able to induct a recruit formally through role-play. 

Q. Is Virtue and Vice a league?

A. No actually.  The Virtue and Vice Coalition is a guild that has two leagues.  The Frontliners is the guild's hero league while the Sinister Syndicate is the guild's villain legion.

Q. Do I have to join both leagues?

A. Why no, you are free to join any league you want.  However, if you wish to be part of both leagues you are free to do so!

Q. If I am a hero or villain which league do I join?

A. If you are a hero you may join The Frontliners and if you are a villain you may join the Sinister Syndicate.

Q. Since you have a hero and villain league, does your guild have a custom chat channel?

A. Of course we do.  We use the custom chat channel to keep in touch with our friends on opposite factions as well as use it to do cross-faction role-play stories.  You will need to sign up for the guild in order to join the channel though!

Q. Do I need to be a certain age to join?

A. We welcome anyone that is over the age of 18.  We won't turn down people who are a little younger, but we prefer to keep the guild open to adult players.

Q. Do you require any sort of skills in order to join the Coalition?

A. Nope!  All we require from you is to be familiar with role-play.  You do not need to be a creative genius in order to join our guild.

Q. Are we required to only RP with fellow guildmates?

A. Nope! There's actually a little RP community that folks can join and are free to role-play with whomever they wish.  You aren't forced to just role-play with people part of the VnV guild.

Q. Are we allowed to have alts in either league?

A. Of course you are.  We understand that people want to have fun and having alts is part of having fun in DCUO.  We respect your choice in having multiple characters and encourage people to have them.
